The field monitoring visit by Ms. Elisabetta Necco, a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist with over 15 years of experience in international NGOs, organisms, and consultancy firms in developing and humanitarian settings, took place on June 26, 2024, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.

 

The purpose of the visit was to assess the performance, sustainability, and dissemination of results of the FOUNTAIN project. The visit aimed to learn about the activities realized, and outcomes achieved, and to identify any challenges encountered during the project implementation.

Representing Sri Lanka partners the meeting was attended by, Dr. U. I. Dissanayake, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Senior Prof. Ranjith Dissanayake, Prof. Chaminda Bandara, Prof. Roshan D. Yapa, Director, Business Linkage, Innovation, Incubation and Technology Transfer Office UOP, Dr. L.D.  Deepchandi Lekamge, Senior Lecturer, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, and Ms. Sadeesha Senanayake, Research Assistant, UOP.

 

The discussions were insightful and productive, focusing on the project’s outcomes, impacts, and any encountered issues. This collaborative effort underscored our commitment to achieving the FOUNTAIN project’s goals and ensuring its positive impact at individual, institutional, and national levels.
