The University of Ruhuna, under FOUNTAIN work package 5, successfully organized the University-Industry Exhibition at the Colombo Conference as a featured event. Throughout the day, the exhibition showcased groundbreaking research, technological advancements, and innovative products from participating universities and industry partners.

The event featured dedicated industry stalls from key participants, including State Timber Corporation, Guidance Overseas Education Centre (Pvt) Ltd., Sathuta Fertilizer (Pvt) Ltd., Sathuta Ceylon Exports (Pvt) Ltd., and AgriOne Solutions (Private) Limited. These stalls not only showcased industry innovations and services but also provided valuable networking platforms. Career fair sessions offered students and graduates direct access to recruiters and industry professionals, helping them explore career opportunities and better understand sector-specific expectations.

The exhibition successfully achieved its four key objectives: fostering university-industry collaboration, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, providing career opportunities for students and graduates, and promoting entrepreneurship through consultation services and access to innovation hubs. Industry representatives had the opportunity to discover talented students and researchers for internships, collaborative projects, and long-term job opportunities, while academic members actively shared their research outcomes, received valuable industry feedback, and explored potential partnerships to translate research into practical applications.
