Attract stakeholders from diverse backgrounds through the Global Agro-Industry Forum and online Impact Hub, enhancing international collaboration and engagement.
Aid partner universities in the certification of innovative curricula in accordance with internal guidelines and accreditation rules.
Workshop 1: Commercialization
The objectives of these workshops are aligned with the broader goals of the FOUNTAIN project, which aims to strengthen University-Industry Collaborations (UIC) in Asian universities, particularly in agro-industries. Workshop 1: Commercialization will focus on equipping participants with intellectual property management skills and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship strategies. By bridging the gap between universities and industries, this workshop will address the current lack of collaboration and outcome-oriented culture within academic institutions, driving universities to become more flexible and adaptable in fostering partnerships.

Workshop 2: Technology Transfer
Workshop 2: Technology Transfer will emphasize the importance of transferring university research into practical, market-ready solutions. The workshop aims to tackle the challenges of organizational and cultural differences between academia and industry, promoting the creation of multidisciplinary research initiatives and industrial training programs. Participants will explore ways to align industrial and public interests to create mutually beneficial partnerships that drive innovation and economic growth in sectors such as agro-industries.
Success stories – “Drones for Agriculture: A One-Day Workshop for Future Innovators” Organized by the FOUNTAIN Team at the University of Peradeniya conducted by SULECO Pvt Ltd on 16th October 2024 at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka Premises.
Workshop 3: Education and Training / Knowledge Generation
Workshop 3: Education and Training / Knowledge Generation will focus on enhancing student employability and improving curricula by integrating industrial training and blended learning approaches. The workshop will also address the gaps identified in UIC need assessments conducted in Thailand and Sri Lanka, with the aim of fostering techno-entrepreneurial skills and establishing a community of practice in agro-industries. By aligning academic programs with industry needs, this workshop will help universities leverage their resources to support invention, innovation, and the development of start-ups.
